Steven J. Bull, founder and president of Bullitage Media Inc. has been named Industry Rising Star at the Neptune Awards for Marine Marketing Excellence, presented by the Marine Marketers of America (MMA).

The awards were announced at a gala event during this year’s Discover Boating Miami International Boat Show.

“For Bullitage Media and Water Ways TV, this is yet another validation of our mission — boating isn’t just about products; it’s about people, places, and the experiences they create,” Bull said. “After consecutive boating safety awards in Canada and the U.S. after the launch of the brand, this recognition further reinforces our belief (and motto) that ‘Some Memories Can’t Be Made on Land’.”

MMA President Alisdair Martin said Bull was part of an impressive group of nominees.

“He stood out due to his fresh thinking and his ability to translate his success in journalism into compelling storytelling for the marine world—using Water Ways TV to inspire and educate boaters while connecting brands with the boating community,” Martin said.

Water Ways TV is the first factual television show produced by Bullitage Media Inc, which works with leading brands to produce bespoke media content including podcasts, video, live and social media hosting.

Water Ways TV has released 2 seasons, with a 3rd season currently in development. Previous seasons have covered diverse and engaging boating content including history, culture, adventure and education, across Canada, the U.S. and Europe.

The show is currently available on World Fishing Network, America’s Boating Channel, WildTV, Sportsman Channel Canada, and YouTube.

Bull says winning this award is just the beginning.

“We’re ready to take things to the next level!” he said.

The Neptune Awards recognize outstanding marketing initiatives across the boating industry. This year’s winners also include industry leaders such as Mercury Marine, Yamaha, Sea Ray Boats, Sea Doo and Winnebago Industries. Entries are judged by a panel of industry experts, with winners selected for their creativity, impact, and execution.
