Lowe Boats Introduces All-New Crosswater Series for 2027

October 6, 2026

New aluminum crossover platform delivers the versatility to fish coastal waters, explore inland lakes and rivers, and enjoy family recreation from a single rugged package

Lowe Boats, a brand of Brunswick Corporation and a leading manufacturer of durable and dependable aluminum fishing boats, has introduced the all-new Crosswater Series, an innovative crossover platform designed for anglers and families seeking a single boat capable of handling a wide range of on-water adventures.

Available in 18-foot (1870 Crosswater) and 20-foot (2070 Crosswater) models, the new series bridges the gap between traditional bay boats and versatile inland fishing rigs, providing the capability to navigate coastal flats, marshes, lakes and rivers while remaining equally suited for family cruising and recreational use.

Built on Lowe’s proven all-welded aluminum construction, the Crosswater features a rugged .125-inch-thick aluminum hull, a wide 96-inch beam, and a stable 70-inch chine, delivering the durability and confidence boaters need in varying water conditions.

“Today’s boaters want versatility without compromise,” said Erica Moreland, Marketing Manager for Lowe Boats. “The Crosswater was designed for people who don’t want multiple specialty boats. Whether you’re targeting fish at sunrise, cruising with family in the afternoon, or exploring new waterways on the weekend, Crosswater gives you one platform that can do it all.”

The Crosswater Series brings together the fishing functionality serious anglers expect with the comfort and convenience features families appreciate. Anglers will find enclosed rod storage capable of holding rods up to eight feet long, an aerated bow livewell, rod-tree compatibility, and multiple seat-base configurations that provide flexibility for different fishing styles and conditions.

For recreational boaters and families, standard features such as a leaning post, aft jump seats, and a boarding ladder make it easy to transition from fishing trips to sandbar outings and casual cruising. Available EVA flooring enhances both comfort and traction throughout the boat, creating a comfortable environment for passengers of all ages.

Owners can further customize the Crosswater with a range of available options, including hydraulic steering, tilt steering, LED interior lighting, stereo packages, washdown systems, rod trees, battery shut-off switches, tackle storage solutions, and a fore-console cooler. The larger 2070 Crosswater is also available with an optional T-top for additional shade and protection in coastal environments.

Positioned within Lowe’s Roughneck Center Console family, the Crosswater Series delivers the simplicity, durability and value that have long defined the Lowe Boats brand while expanding capability across both freshwater and saltwater environments.

“The Crosswater was created around real-world versatility,” said Moreland. “It’s a boat designed to adapt to how people actually spend time on the water, making it easier to enjoy fishing, family activities and everything in between.”

The 2027 Lowe Boats Crosswater Series will be available through authorized Lowe Boats dealers.

Good Advice that You Can Share – The Art of Anchoring

Unless a boat is secured, it will drift away. If it cannot be attached to something secure, such as a dock, piling, mooring buoy, tree, or boulder, it must be anchored. There is much more to anchoring than simply tossing the anchor over the side.

An anchoring system has two parts: the anchor itself and the rode which connects the anchor to the boat. To be effective, an anchor must have good holding power, and the rode must be strong enough to withstand the strains that are put on it.
