NAVNET COMMAND CENTER EXPANDS SUPPORT FOR THIRD PARTY MARINE EQUIPMENT ON TZTOUCH3 MFDS

Navnet Command Center

Aug 16, 2020

Furuno Marine Electronics and Victron Energy have announced new compatibility between the TZT2BB and all TZtouch3 models with Victron GX Series energy controllers. The new interface provides monitoring of your vessel’s power systems including inverters, chargers, and batteries, directly from your TZT2BB display or NavNet TZtouch3 MFD.

Furuno’s NavNet TZtouch3 Command Center provides an interface for the navigator to display and control third-party equipment directly from the MFD. Onboard equipment such as Seakeeper Gyro Stabilizers, Quick Bow Thrusters, as well as Lumishore and Shadow-Caster LED Lighting can all be accessed and controlled from custom pages on the MFD, in full-screen or split-screen presentations.

Victron Energy is the latest in a growing list of marine manufacturers that take advantage of the ability of the TZT2BB and all TZtouch3 MFDs to control third-party equipment. With a simple software update to the MFD, your Victron GX Series devices can connect to the NavNet network via Ethernet or NMEA2000 connection. A custom Victron presentation on the MFD can display tank fluid levels, battery status, voltage and current, as well as DC status such as state-of-charge and time-to-go. Supported models include the Victron Cerbo GX, Color Control GX, Venus GX, CANvu GX, Octo GX, and Maxi GX controllers.

Compatibility with NavNet TZT2BB requires version 7.01 software, while TZtouch3 MFDs require version 1.08 software. For more information on Furuno’s complete line of Marine Electronics, contact: Furuno USA, 4400 NW. Pacific Rim Blvd., Camas, WA 98607. Phone: (360) 834-9300.
