Veratron unboxes OceanLink features with software update

Veratron Oceanlink

Feb 21, 2022

When Veratron debuted its OceanLink™ modular instrumentation solution, it reset the standard by which boat monitoring and displays are measured. Constantly striving to enhance its products, a new software update introduces new features, especially the integration of engine data and alarms into an NMEA 2000 network.

The pioneering OceanLink system provides electronic navigation and engine monitoring with NMEA 2000®, J1939 and analog connectivity. The robust product line offers a wide range of functionality as well as plug-and-play installation, premium design and flexible installation of panel- and flush-mounted IPX7 front and rear instruments.

The enhancement consists of both firmware and display graphic updates. Included in all new OceanLink devices, for existing units the files can be downloaded for free at www.bit.ly/Jan22-OceanLinkUpdate.

With the update, users can now customize every onboard sensor input of an OceanLink multifunction display to the sensor type and desired curve. It also includes deeper integration to an NMEA 2000 network to show engine data and alarms. A new backlight dimming concept has been added to ensure comfortable readability in every light condition. Resettable counters have been added to track trip data such as distance, time and fuel consumption. To support the software update, Veratron has enhanced its Configuration Tool to version V3.05.
