Steve Barthels of Rekord Marine is pleased to announce that Graham Toms has joined Rekord Marine to establish the business in Ontario, effective immediately.

Graham Toms was brought up sailing in the Toronto area where he raced Lasers competitively then moved to larger sailboat racing in his 20‘s. For the last 12 years Graham has owned and raced his J120 sailboat.

Originally, Graham studied Architecture at Ryerson. However, the love of boating drew him into the business and he went on to become a partner in a yacht brokerage firm for 7 years after doing a brief stint working in the financial industry with Altimira.

He left the successful yacht brokerage to join Paynes Marine Supply in technical sales and warehouse management. He was promoted to Vice President for the last 7 years before the company was bought out by Mercury / Land ’N’ Sea. Including his time with Land ’N’ Sea, Graham was with Paynes for 18 years.

He looks forward to carrying on his passion for the boating industry in his new role with Rekord Marine.

Graham’s official start date is October 1, 2023. You can reach him via cell at: 416-526-1074 or email at graham@rekord-marine.com.
