New Executive Director announced for CORK

CORK Sail Kingston

May 9, 2022

After more than 16 years of dedication to CORK, Executive Director, Marianne Davis has decided that it is time to retire and enjoy more time sailing and being with her family. It has been a great run for Marianne with a constant stream of hosted championships and the development of a robust organization that will serve CORK well into the future. We thank her for her exemplary service as Executive Director and wish her an enjoyable retirement.

Marianne’s decision launched us on an extensive search for a successor who could maintain the level of performance which everyone at CORK has come to expect.

We are pleased to announce that the search has been successful, and Sarah Donaldson has joined CORK as our new Executive Director. Sarah comes to us with a lifelong involvement in competitive sailing, including racing at CORK and on the Queen’s University sailing team. Professionally, Sarah has been the sailing event manager at RCYC, had a leading role in the Eight Metre World Championship, International 14 Worlds, and a number of other dinghy and keel boat championships, as well as running her own event management business. Sarah is also a senior alpine ski race coach at Georgian Peaks. Sarah currently resides in Blue Mountains (Collingwood) and will be dividing her time between there and Kingston.

Welcome aboard, Sarah!
