Precision Sails Names Veteran Ontario Sailmaker Richard Osborn to Lead Sales in Province

December 16, 2025

Precision Sails is pleased to announce the appointment of Richard Osborn to lead sales activities for the company in Ontario. Drawing on decades of experience in the Ontario sailing community as a loft operator and sail consultant, and serving local clubs and boat owners, Osborn will support Precision Sails’ continued growth with cruising and performance sailors across the province.

Osborn has built his reputation through a full-service sail loft business in Ontario, providing sails, chandlery, and marine supplies to a wide range of boat owners and classes. His work has included helping one-design and cruising sailors optimize sail inventories for local conditions on the Great Lakes and surrounding waters, positioning him as a trusted resource for many owners and club fleets.

In his new role, Osborn will focus on building and servicing Precision Sails’ customer base throughout Ontario, offering consultative sail selection, measurement support, and after-sale service. He will work closely with local sailors, yacht clubs, and dealers to ensure Ontario owners can access custom-designed, high-quality sails backed by Precision Sails’ design team and production facilities.

Sailors in Ontario will benefit from the combination of Precision Sails’ custom design and manufacturing capabilities with Osborn’s local knowledge of boats, rigs, and conditions on inland and Great Lakes waters. The appointment strengthens Precision Sails’ on-the-ground presence in the province and reinforces its commitment to responsive service, technical expertise, and long-term relationships with owners.

Precision Sails is a sailmaker specializing in custom cruising and performance sails, combining modern design tools, quality materials, and personalized service for sailors worldwide. With Osborn now representing the brand in Ontario, the company is enhancing its regional support for Canadian sailors seeking durable, well-performing sails tailored to their boats and sailing styles.
