Furuno announces Wireless Fish Finder Compatibility with TZ iBoat App

Apr 9, 2024

Furuno’s award-winning FCV600 and FCV800 are now compatible with the TZ iBoat App from TIMEZERO, available for iOS devices, offering anglers access to and control of their Fish Finder from anywhere on the boat. This expansion of the renowned Fish Finder’s wireless capabilities comes as welcome news to anglers needing access to their Fish Finder while managing the reels, or from anywhere on the boat.

The Fish Finder can be connected with a one-time purchase of the dedicated Fish Finder module from within the TZ iBoat app. TZ iBoat introduces a host of all-new features, including the new TZ MAPS that deliver unprecedented clarity and control over your electronic navigational and bathymetric charts. These same charts are used in the new NavNet TZtouchXL series of Multi Function Displays (MFDs), and all of the TZ MAPS charts purchased from those MFDs are also unlocked within the app for use across all associated iOS devices.

“TIMEZERO has always enjoyed developing smart integration with the team at FURUNO to ensure that our collective technologies deliver the most advanced user experience,” said Frederic Algalarrondo, Sales & Marketing Director for TIMEZERO. “When Furuno launched the FCV600 and FCV800 as affordable and capable stand-alone solutions for sportfishermen, we knew that one bonus feature was to ensure control from anywhere-in-the-boat sourcing for the TZ iBoat iOS app. We are grateful to their team of engineers who have put the FCV600 and FCV800 through their paces to be confident of full compatibility.”

Matt Wood, National Sales Manager for Furuno USA, added, “We are very pleased to confirm that the latest version of TZ iBoat is fully compatible with Furuno’s FCV600 and FCV800 Fish Finders. Furuno’s native integration into TIMEZERO technology is the cornerstone of amazing innovation in the marine industry, especially for sportfishing enthusiasts and professionals.”

The FCV800 won the prestigious Best New Product award at the 2023 NMEA Conference & Expo, where it was praised for its simultaneous CW and CHIRP capabilities, extensive connectivity, and plug-and-play compatibility with existing transducers.
