SEA PRO BOATS HAS MADE DOMETIC’S SEASTAR STEERING EQUIPMENT STANDARD EQUIPMENT

Seastar Steering Equipment

Dec 3, 2019

Dometic has announced that South Carolina-based builder Sea Pro Boats is making SeaStar Optimus EPS and SeaStar Power Assist steering standard equipment on its larger, high-horsepower boat models.

Sea Pro’s popular 259 DLX and soon-to-be-launched 319 DLX center console fishing machines are the flagships of the Sea Pro line, which includes bay boats and deep-vee center consoles from 17 to 31 feet.  The 259 DLX and 319 DLX measure 25’ 9” and 31’ 9” respectively, are built for today’s large, powerful outboard motors. These boat models are packed with the latest features and advanced technology — making them an ideal match for Optimus EPS (Electronic Power Steering).  Sea Pro will also be offering SeaStar Optimus 360 Joystick control as a factory option on these top-of-the-line models.

Optimus EPS provides today’s high-performance fishing boats with sports car like steering for superior comfort, control and maneuverability, along with the ability to fine-tune system parameters to match specific boat and operator preferences.  Optimus Joystick control simplifies docking, launching/retrieving and other close quarter maneuvers, taking much of the stress out of boating.

Sea Pro is also making SeaStar Power Assist steering standard equipment on the rest of its boat models rated for 150 horsepower outboards or larger. SeaStar Power Assist provides increased comfort and lighter steering loads for operators of bay boats and offshore center consoles with larger outboards.
