The National Marine Manufacturers Association(NMMA), representing North American recreational boat, engine and marine accessory manufacturers, reported on January 6th, that retail unit sales of new powerboats in the U.S. increased last year by an estimated 12 percent compared to 2019.
This report includes information on wages for multiple marina specific positions. Data included is the average wage, wage high and low, average years of experience, average hours worked per week, among others. Regional breakdowns are provided.
The International Council of Marine Industry Associations (ICOMIA) has released the latest edition of its Recreational Boating Industry Statistics Book and NMMA is providing access to the report for its members at no charge.

New data from the NMMA show new powerboat retail sales picked up in September after slowing down in July and August following record growth in June. New boat sales were up 22% compared to August and up 9% year to date (YTD) compared to 2019 on a seasonally-adjusted basis.

Compact Antenna Brings TV/FM Onboard
Televisions on a boat are increasingly commonplace. With the simple-to-install Glomex Avior VT300 Omnidirectional TV/FM antenna from GA Communications, it's never been easier to bring analog and digital broadcasts onboard—at a price that's hard to ignore.
The most noticeable feature of the Avior VT300 antenna is its compact white, anti-yellowing radome. At only 4" dia. x 8" H and 8.8 oz., it's specifically made for smaller boats that can't accommodate large TV antenna domes and only need short range reception, depending on height and conditions.
