The Canadian boating community has lost one of its members this week. Sandy Gordon, co-owner of the former Gordon Marine in Gananoque, who passed away on Monday November 17, 2014.

At age 63, a talented businessman of the former Gordon Marine Ltd., a passionate motorcyclist, reader, snowboarder, hockey player and sailor, Sandy lived his life well and honorably. Sandy leaves behind his beloved wife Sheila, cherished children Meghan (Mike), George (Ana) and best friend Don MacPhail. Survived by dear parents Jean and Ken, siblings and families of Jan (Paul), Don (Penny), Neil (Debbie), Ross (Susie), affectionate brothers-in-laws Joe (Maire) and Brian (Bonnie) Yule. Cremation has taken place. 

 The family will receive friends at the Tompkins Funeral Home 63 Garden St. Gananoque on Friday from 6-9pm. A reception will be held at the Gananoque Inn 550 Stone St. S. on Saturday November 22 from 1-4pm for a toast to Sandy’s life and memory. In life Sandy donated generously and spontaneously to individuals in need. Please feel free to do the same, or to a charity of your choice.
