NAVIONICS BOATING APP NOW INTEGRATES A FISHFINDER SCREEN FOR IPHONE OR IPAD

Navionics Sonar Phone

Use it as a supplement to onboard systems with convenient wireless access anywhere on the boat, or as an affordable option for smaller vessels like runabouts, dinghies, or kayaks.

The valuable new SonarPhone feature is included free with Boating version 7.2 (either in the free version or in any versions previously titled as Marine & Lakes). It works with SonarPhone T-Box transducer and Wi-Fi transmitter you install on your boat. Just connect via Wi-Fi and Boating automatically displays the sonar data. Choose split-screen view or simply tap to toggle between charts and sonar.

What’s more, every time you connect, you determine enhancements to SonarCharts™ with depth data from anywhere you go. Updated charts are available to you and the whole Navionics Community after about one week for any compatible device including mobile, plotter and web.

Availability

Any Navionics Boating app for iPhone or iPad, updated to version 7.3 or higher, includes the SonarPhone feature. To see a demo, go to Menu>Charts&Upgrades and click SonarPhone. By doing this you can also order the affordable T-BOX, hardware that enables the connection. In the same section, those who download the free app can also try for free or purchase the Navionics+ package, containing SonarCharts™, which is included with any paid app.

SonarPhone for Android will be released soon.
