ELAINE LEMBO JOINS THE IBEX SHOW TEAM AS NEW SEMINAR MANAGER

Deadline for Seminar Proposal is set for January 30, 2015

The International BoatBuilders’ Exhibition and Conference (IBEX) is pleased to announce the addition of Elaine Lembo as the new IBEX Seminar Manager for the 2015 event, which is scheduled for September 15-17 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, KY. Elaine was previously with Cruising World magazine, where she worked for 16 years in the editorial department, most recently as deputy editor, of this leading North American monthly devoted to those who explore the world under sail.

“We are thrilled to welcome Elaine to the team; she is a seasoned marine industry professional who will bring a fresh perspective to her new role as IBEX Seminar Manager. We are confident she will develop an exceptional technical educational program working in conjunction with our partners Professional BoatBuilder magazine and the events’ education partners – ABYC, ABBRA, and NMMA,” said Anne Dunbar, Show Director of IBEX. “Elaine has already hit the ground running as the deadline of January 30th is quickly approaching for the seminar proposals.”

Building upon the success of the recent event in Tampa, which attracted 500 attendees to the seminar program, the 2015 IBEX Seminar Series will offer world-renowned technical education from fundamental skills to cutting-edge advanced training and is designed for shop floor crew, seasoned technicians, and company officers. Leading industry experts will offer attendees insight and information on problems they need solved, new materials and regulations, and other current industry topics. Proposals for seminars should be sent to:seminars@ibexshow.com by January 30, 2015.

Elaine Lembo has written and edited for some of the best newspapers in the United States, among them, The Washington Post, The Providence Journal, and the Vineyard Gazette. Her byline has appeared in countless newspapers and magazines and on various websites and social media. She is a fellow with the Metcalf Institute for Marine and Environmental Reporting at the University of Rhode Island Graduate School of Oceanography and is interested in issues related to ocean health and sustainable boat design.
