40TH ANNUAL OTTAWA BOAT & SPORTSMEN’S SHOW MAKES WAVES
Technology, luxury stand out at milestone event for avid outdoor enthusiasts Feb. 19-22
It’s full speed ahead for the 40th annual Ottawa Boat and Sportsmen’s Show Feb. 19 – 22 at the EY Centre. This year promises to be one of the biggest shows in its 40-year history with modern yachts complete with fully equipped living spaces to speedboats with built-in radar and top of the line entertainment consoles.
“It’s incredible how much the boating industry has evolved over the past 40 years. It’s no wonder a calm spot on the water has become the new campsite for many avid boaters,” says Tara Diaczyk, Show Manager. “This year’s show is going to be bigger and better than ever before full of exciting features and activities for the whole family.”
Including newly released 2015 boats, showgoers will have a chance to see exhibitors featuring pontoons boats, luxury yachts, , and speedy bow riders of all shapes and sizes. New this year is the Cutwater 30 family cruiser offering their trademark Stepped Keel Hull design.
But this year’s show isn’t just about boats. Discover some of the latest gadgets, accessories and products to get you ready for whatever the warmer weather can throw at you. Custom Strapz is introducing its Zap Strapz Sport Strapz, a brand new 100% non-toxic, mosquito and insect repellant bracelet that lasts 180 hours. Solar-to-go is launching their Solar Tonneau Cover, a product that gives you access to 120 volts of power on-the-go. Husqvarna presents its new collection of battery-powered outdoor products including cordless chainsaws and trimmers with the same quality, performance and reliability without the petrol, noise and vibration.
If you’re starting to plan your summer vacation, swing by the Ritchie Falls Resort booth at the show. Located north of Massey, this unique resort, powered by sustainable energy, is fully equipped for hunting and fishing adventures. Catering largely to the ATV and snowmobiling community, the resort is known for its pristine lake and rivers, fishing and abundance of wildlife.
Whether it’s spending the day on the lake fishing, cruising through the Ottawa waterways or planning on taking a paddle on a lazy Sunday, the Ottawa Boat and Sportsmen’s Show will have you geared up and ready to get outdoors.
