BOATING BC’S AGM A SUCCESS

BC Boating April

Boating BC members who attended April 14th’s AGM were treated to a beautiful day at the Royal Victoria Yacht Club.

Following the business of the AGM, attendees participated in a planning session for the future of the Vancouver International Boat Show. It was an excellent discussion that generated some great, creative ideas about the future of the show. This discussion was the beginning of Boating BC’s broader strategic planning process that members will be working through over the coming months.

Thank You to Retiring Board Members

Alan Stovell + Glenn Spartz stepped down from the Boating BC Board.

Alan was on the board for 12 years – he served as President for six years and Past President and Treasurer for two. His leadership, contribution and passion for the Association have been immense.

Glenn served on the board for 10 years and, while his industry knowledge and experience have made an indelible contribution to all aspects of the Association’s work, his legacy lives with the new Marine Mechanical Technician’s program, now available at BCIT. Glenn spearheaded this program on behalf of Boating BC – a task that required dogged determination and ‘stick-with-it-ness’.
