MERCURY MARINE LAUNCHES 5 YEAR LTD WARRANTIES ON GAS STERNDRIVES AND INBOARDS

Mercury Warranty

Mercury Marine has announced that, for the first time, 2016 model year boats powered by Mercury gas sterndrive and inboard engines will come with a comprehensive Five Year Engine Package Limited Warranty during the “Power of Protection” sale event.

The new Mercury Five Year Limited Engine Warranty being offered during the “Power of Protection” sale event provides new boat buyers broad, long-term coverage against costly engine repairs. The limited warranty covers engine, cooling system, transmission, drive, fuel system, steering, electrical, power trim and control components for the entire warranty period.

“Boaters value long-term protection on their boats like they do on all major investments,” said Randy Caruana, Mercury Marine vice president, sales, North & Central America and Asia Pacific. “Our new Five Year Engine Package Limited Warranty lets boaters head out with greater confidence, knowing they have Mercury engine protection for years to come.”

Every eligible boat model also comes with Mercury’s industry-exclusive Three Year Engine Corrosion Warranty, made possible by Mercury’s superior alloys, stronger paints and deeper R&D capabilities.

“We provide cutting-edge engine performance and reliability for our boaters, so we can also stand behind our products like no one else can,” said Caruana. “Our new Five Year Engine Package Limited Warranty plus our Three Year Corrosion Warranty give our boaters unparalleled engine protection for true peace of mind.”

The Five Year “Power of Protection” Limited Warranty promotional offer is available on model year 2016 Mercury I.Q. Certified Boat Builder models sold to U.S. and Canada residents. To qualify, eligible boats must be retail sold between July 5, 2015 and July 2, 2016, and registered by July 17, 2016.
