ATTENDANCE WAS UP AT BOATING BC AGM

Boating BC’s 2016 Annual General Meeting was held on Friday, January 22nd at BC Place during the Vancouver International Boat Show. 

The association reported a balanced budget and increased membership from across the province. Paul Mendham from Navis Marine Insurance stepped down from the board and Dale Miller from Pacific Yachting Magazine was voted in as a new Director. Bruce White from Grand Yachts was officially acknowledged as the new liaison for the BC Yacht Brokers Association, replacing Lawrence Fronczek of Specialty Yacht Sales. 

Following the business of the AGM, Brian Milligen, Chair of NMMA Canada, presented the latest statistics in economic trends and boat ownership and participation in BC and across Canada.
