Our readers are always concerned about the quality of water. Take a look at this video produced by the Federation of Ontario Cottagers’ Associations, with Dr. Rosanna Salvaterra from Peterborough Public Health, and Terry Rees (FOCA), about blue-green algae blooms.You can’t tell if a bloom is toxic just by looking at it. What should you do if you suspect a blue-green algae bloom? Contact the Spills Action Centre by calling 1-800-268-6060. Do NOT drink untreated surface water.
