MERCURY MARINE INTRODUCES NEXT-GEN VESSELVIEW 703 AT 2017 MIAMI INTERNATIONAL BOAT SHOW

Feb 26, 2017

Mercury Marine, the world leader in marine propulsion and technology, introduces the next generation of VesselView, the recreational marine industry’s premier multifunction display family: Mercury® VesselView® 703. The new VesselView 703 made its debut at the opening of the 2017 Miami International Boat Show on Virginia Key on February 16, 2017.

Providing precise, reliable control combined with increased clarity, high-definition resolution, wide viewing angles, and enhanced controls for easier operation in all conditions, VesselView 703 incorporates the new Simrad® SolarMAX® HD display.

The bright, high-definition glass touchscreen display has a 16 x 9 aspect ratio for higher visibility, glare-reducing coating, and dimmable lighting. The hybrid touchscreen and button interface allows users to choose the display interaction they prefer to use depending on sea state and weather conditions.

VesselView 703 simultaneously displays information for up to four engines in an easy-to-read interface. The display provides up-to-date information for more than 30 engine parameters, including: Fuel Level & Range, Oil Temperature & Pressure, Battery Voltage, Water Depth, Genset and more.

Built-in features include a 10Hz GPS and chart plotter capability (regional electronic chart cards purchased separately). VesselView 703 also has an integrated echosounder and true dual-channel CHIRP, making it an essential fishing companion. It also can be integrated with all the Simrad accessories for the NSS Evo3 product line, including radar, sonar transducers, fish finder transducers, AIS, VHF, Sonic Hub/Fusion Link, C-Zone digital switching and more.

A highly expandable system, VesselView 703 has the gateway functionality to allow SmartCraft data to be displayed on NMEA 2000 devices. It supports 16 languages and multiple unit conversions, and also features automatic notification of available software updates through GoFree Wi-Fi, which is integrated into the system.

Included in the VesselView 703 kit is Mercury’s VesselView Link, which is required to fully integrate the propulsion system and make the display truly multi-functional. VesselView 703 will be available in late May. Kit pricing remains the same as for the VesselView 702 kit; no price increase is anticipated for 2017.
