The Atlantic Marine Trades Association recently sent a notice that Craig and Kathryn Newell have sold Iron Wind Marine to auto industry executive Eric Stanley. On Thursday August 31, Stanley became 100% owner of the successful recreational boat dealership located in Halifax, NS. The Newells will continue to own all the dealership’s real estate and provide financial strength and advice. Craig Newell said that “Eric is an incredible operator. With his dealership operating experience and our financial backing, Iron Wind sales are going to continue to grow as they have over the past five years. We have grown this business over the past five years to where it is a substantial operation and it is ready to have full time professional management of the calibre that Eric brings to the table”.

Eric Stanley is the former general manager of Steele Chrylser and Halifax Chrylser, two of the largest and most successful dealerships in the Steele Auto Group. He previously founded Freedom Cycle, which is a power sports dealership in Halifax. Stanley says he has been a boater his whole life and wanted to get back to his entrepreneurial roots. He intends to continue the solid growth pattern of Iron Wind Marine thru boats sales, service and storage. The boat brands currently represented by Iron Wind will remain with new brands to come. He is looking forward to meeting all Iron Wind existing customers along with many new ones during the fall season and at the Boat Shows.
