Mercury Marine has announced that Rich Todhunter has been promoted to Director, Current Product Engineering and Product Integration Engineering replacing Daniel Clarkson who transitioned to Power Products in September.  In this role, Todhunter will be responsible for all current product engineering, product integration, engineering services and on-water test facilities.

Todhunter is a marine industry veteran, having spent almost 15 years with Mercury Marine in a variety of leadership roles where he has been integral in championing several of Mercury’s major engine initiatives.

“This is a key leadership position at Mercury as Rich will not just be responsible for his team, but for the entire integration process with our OEM customers,” said Tim Reid, Mercury Marine Vice President of Product Development & Engineering.  “Rich has done a fantastic job at Mercury and this opportunity allows him and his team to continue to elevate the experience for our customers and foster new relationships in the industry.”

In addition to his career at Mercury, Todhunter has also held key senior leadership positions at Braden Manufacturing, Harsco Industrial and FW Murphy.

“I am honored to have this opportunity and look forward to continuing the world-class product engineering and integration support that our customers have come to expect from Mercury Marine,” said Todhunter. “Working together with our boat builders, we will ensure that our products perform flawlessly and that the boating experience is enhanced every time our product is out on the water.”
