BRUNSWICK CORPORATION AND MERCURY MARINE TO DISPLAY ALL-INCLUSIVE P&A DISPLAY FOR THE FIRST-TIME AT THE 2019 IBEX SHOW

Brunswick and Mercury

Oct 1, 2019

For the first time, all Brunswick Corporation (NYSE:BC) and Mercury Marine parts and accessories brands will be together in one display during the 2019 IBEX show in Tampa, Florida.   Mercury Marine is the global leader in marine parts and accessories with the largest product and distribution portfolio in the industry.  On display this year in Tampa will be Mercury products such as Joystick Piloting, Skyhook, Vessel View and more, joining together with Power Products, Attwood, MotorGuide, Whale, Garelick and Brunswick’s NAUTIC-ON to create an entire ecosystem of technology and innovation for the customer.  In this single P&A exhibit, boat OEM’s will find the comprehensive solutions, design and integration expertise to meet the quality, cost and technology expectations of their customers.

“We have committed tremendous resources to not just launching new products, but to developing meaningful innovations that truly define the boating experience.” said Chris Drees, Mercury Marine president” Because we have such a vast portfolio of technology within Mercury and Brunswick, we can develop advanced system integration that takes on-board performance to new levels.”

Having direct access to all these products in one exhibit, as well as having a cooperative product development strategy, the company is able to create new technology-based platforms which expand the possibilities of what can be done on a boat.

“System integration is the future” stated Tom Schuessler, Power Products president. “Our ability to not only have direct access to the greatest marine technology, but also our ability to integrate it in meaningful ways is redefining our visions and goals.”

“IBEX is a very important show for the Attwood, MotorGuide, Whale and Garelick brands and to have our brands showcased in the overall portfolio of solutions for our company will give our customers a holistic view of what is possible when they do business with Brunswick,” said Brian Scott, Attwood president.

“Having the entire connectivity narrative together in one exhibit is not only a benefit for the customer, but it helps connect the dots on what is possible.” said Bijoy Jha, Brunswick Corporation vice president of new business ventures. “When you combine the world-class P&A portfolio of Mercury, add in the electrical backbone of Power Products and the connectivity of NAUTIC-ON, you have a complete offering for our OEM partners.”

Recently, Mercury Marine created a new division in its Power Products business to help manage and integrate the entire technology stack available for the boat builder.  Power Products System Integrators (PPSI), led by Daniel Clarkson, was created with the purpose of working with OEMs to design and create fully integrated electrical systems.

“At PPSI we have access to the leading electrical brands in the marine industry,” said Daniel Clarkson, General Manager of PPSI. “We work directly with boat builders to understand their needs and create electrical systems that enable boats to do things that have never before been possible.  And we can do this for any type or size of boat.”

“We are extremely excited about our future and continued growth in our parts and accessories business”, said Drees. “Through our integrated technologies, Mercury is well positioned to make the boating experience more intuitive and reliable for our customers.”

Mercury’s parts and accessories will be on display during the 2019 IBEX booth 3-1403.
