HIGH-PERFORMANCE RECEIVER BUILT FOR THE OUTDOORS

Infinity by Harman Kappa

Feb 4, 2020

Too often, manufacturers add a few gaskets to a radio and declare it outdoor-ready. Not so with the Infinity by Harman Kappa KAPPRV515 from Prospec Electronics. The all-in-one, waterproof stereo receiver was designed from the ground up to perform through the toughest conditions boaters, golfers and UTV enthusiasts encounter, without sacrificing the refined features audiophiles demand.

The KAPPRV515 boasts AM/FM/Weatherband/RDS with US, European and Japanese tuning. Built-in Bluetooth with ID tagging delivers music streaming from smartphones, tablets and other BT-enabled devices. Sirius/XM-ready, it also has auxiliary and USB inputs, and is made for iPod/iPhone®.

The backlighting of the 3.5″ color TFT screen on the KAPPRV515 can be fine-tuned to optimize the brightness for the conditions. Connecting a back-up or baitwell camera to the video input allows the feed to be viewed on the PRV515 screen. Even vessel and vehicle RBG accessory lighting can be controlled through the receiver with the available MIL-LEDPWR module.

For all its bells and whistles, the Infinity by Harman Kappa KAPPRV515 is foremost a world-class stereo receiver. Clear, accurate sound originates from 4x50W peak power @ 4 ohms, while the receiver is also 2 ohm stable. This 2 ohm stability provides for the ability to wire a total of eight speakers in parallel without installing a separate amplifier. It has four pairs of pre-outs, including a subwoofer output, and an independent second zone volume control for speakers mounted, for example, on wake towers or UTV roll cages.
The Infinity by Harman Kappa KAPPRV515 is wired remote-ready and NMEA2000-ready. The compatible remotes are the KAPMC40, MIL-REM80, and INFREM1. A video is available at bit.ly/KAPPRV515.
