INTERNATIONAL JOINT COMMISSION PUSHING PUBLIC TO FILL OUT 2020 FLOOD DAMAGE SURVEY

IJC

In a recent newsletter from the Coalition to Protect Great Lakes Shorelines, the organization encouraged readers who are affected by Great Lakes water levels to respond to a survey on the International Joint Commission (IJC) website.

The newsletter noted that this survey has been on the IJC website for months, but now the press is covering it — and they’re asking for more input.  So, the newsletter’s authors advise – let’s give it to them!

Fill it out

Here’s why: “This information can help the board with deviation decisions as early as spring 2021 if Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence River are again faced with high water levels. After 2021, the expedited review will provide a comprehensive assessment of Plan 2014 under the full range of water supply conditions.”
