AFTER 35 YEARS, VOICE OF RITCHIE RETIRES

Mary Davis

Dec 8, 2020

For over 35 years, Mary Davis has been the voice people heard when calling Ritchie Navigation, the world’s largest and oldest manufacturer of magnetic compasses. And after helping hundreds of thousands of people throughout this time, Davis has now announced her retirement.

“Whether vendor, rep, distributor or customer, that sweet, unmistakable voice of Mary’s has helped countless people find who, or what they needed for years, and brightened everyone’s day,” said Ritchie owner Paul Sherman. “It’s easy to understand why we have always chosen this personal touch over telecom automation.” Sherman is a descendent of Edward Samuel Ritchie who founded the company in 1850. “The entire Sherman family and everyone at Ritchie wishes Mary and her husband Patrick the fondest of wishes for a happy retirement.”

For 160 years, Ritchie Navigation products have guided generations of professional mariners and recreational boaters. Made in the USA, its compasses are renowned for their reliability and long-lasting durability.
