It was with great sadness that, on Thursday 11 March 2021, the Board of Directors and the permanent staff members of Grand Pavois Organisation learned of the death of Patrick Rieupeyrout, an emblematic figure in the world of water sports in La Rochelle, France and Europe.

One of the many loyal members of the Grand Pavois Organisation association, Patrick Rieupeyrout attended all the editions of the Grand Pavois La Rochelle international in-water boat show and became a Director from 1995 to 1997, then Secretary from 1997 to 2004, and finally Vice-President from 2004 to the present-day. He was a key member of the La Rochelle association created in 1973 and was a part of all major decisions of the past, present and future. An association of water sport professionals managed by professionals for professionals which he always defended with great enthusiasm.

The Board of Directors and the entire team of permanent staff share his family’s grief and offer their heartfelt condolences to his loved ones.

Alain Pochon (President of Grand Pavois Organisation):
“The Grand Pavois Organisation’s Board of Directors and team are deeply saddened to learn today of the passing of Patrick Rieupeyrout. Apart from having been by our sides for many years as a Director, Secretary and Vice-President, Patrick was also a great water sports professional and, above all, a close friend. I am personally deeply moved and saddened today. He will be greatly missed by our association, its Board of Directors and the team. We offer our heartfelt condolences to his family and all his loved ones of which I am proud to have been a part”.
