AC Dock Pedestal Circuit Analysis

Join Ed Sherman and Rob Berenwick on the dock to perform some dock pedestal testing. Using a couple of different meters, we test various types of voltage (Peak, RMS, between H-N-G, etc), voltage drop, ground integrity, short circuit current, the functionality of the available GFCIs and leakage current.

Many of these tests are required by the National Electric Code to be performed annually on docks at marinas, so this is an intensive look at some of the tests needed as well as an analysis of what findings could be and symptoms that a boater may witness onboard.

Bow Thruster Motor Installation

Mike Bonicker and Vetus engineer Bob Walker take us through the mounting and installation of a bow thruster motor into a thruster tube.

Did you know that ABYC, Vetus and Florida Bow Thrusters partnered up to develop a complete installation course on bow thrusters? This is an excerpt from that course which provides a comprehensive look at all steps necessary to properly install a bow thruster on a boat.
