Rebuild a pump with a JMP service kit for serious savings

JMP Minor Service Kit

June 22, 2021

With a raw water engine cooling pump, it’s rarely the expensive cast and machined bronze body that needs replacing. That’s why Major and Minor Service Kits from JMP Corporation make so much sense. They include everything needed to get most competitors’ and all JMP flexible impeller pumps back to 100%, at a fraction of the cost of replacing the entire unit.

Just like its pumps, JMP Major and Minor Service Kits are manufactured to ISO 9001 standards. JMP offers more than 120 kits for JMP and/or competitor pump models to provide customers the right solution. Each contains a JMP flexible impeller made of a proprietary wax-infused material that’s resistant to heat, salt, oil and chemicals, and is extremely wear-resistant. JMP impellers are so durable, the US Navy tested them and found they outlasted other brands two to one.

The JMP Minor Service Kit is perfect for seasonal maintenance. It includes a flexible impeller, end cover with O-ring and screws, wear plate, spring washers, snap ring and mechanical seal set.

In addition to the items included in a Minor Kit, the Major version replaces basically everything except for the housing itself—the most expensive part of the pump. It adds a non-magnetic marine-grade stainless steel shaft, bearings, cam, mechanical seal, slinger, gasket and all the hardware necessary for a complete rebuild.

In the U.S., MSRP starts at $57.92 USD for JMP Minor Service Kits and $169.97 USD for Major Kits. A complete range of individual parts is also available.
