Prestigious award demonstrates Dometic’s ongoing commitment to employee satisfaction. Opinions of actual team members play a key role in selection of winner.

Dometic Marine’s Vancouver, B.C. facility has announced that it has been named a 2022 Employer of Choice Award winner for the Marine Business Category by Boating Industry Canada, the leading industry trade journal for the Canadian boating business.

The Vancouver facility is responsible for the design, engineering and manufacture of Dometic’s popular SeaStar hydraulic steering systems, award-winning Optimus electric steering/control systems, and a wide range of other critical components for today’s high-tech boats.

This prestigious award is only given to the companies who achieved award level in the Marine Business category or in the Dealers/Marinas category. This national award program was established to recognize and promote the best employers in the Canadian recreational boating industry. Kerrwil Publications — publisher of Boating Industry Canada — partnered with Corporate Culture & Employer of Choice (CCEC) to bring this unique award program to Canada’s boating industry.

Earning an Employer of Choice award is an in-depth process that involves submitting a detailed company profile to CCEC and completing a detailed employee commitment survey. When a company enters the program, surveys are provided to employees so they can anonymously provide their personal perspectives on the company’s performance as an employer, and share their honest opinions on how the company values its employees, rewards success and fosters advancement.

“On behalf of our more than 500 employees in Vancouver, I am honored to accept this award from Boating Industry Canada and CCEC,” said Brian Dudra, Vice President and General Manager of Dometic’s Vancouver facility. “We have always believed in giving our employees a voice, and entering this program is an extension of that. It’s great to receive this recognition, but we are not going to rest on our laurels. We will continue to find new and innovative ways to make Dometic a rewarding place to work and build a career,” added Dudra.

“Any company is only as good as its people — and we are fortunate to have the best. This award belongs to every single person who comes to work each day and helps make Dometic the successful company that it is,” added Dudra.
