Brunswick Product Protection, the extended marine protection division of Brunswick Corporation (NYSE: BC), has announced that it will now offer its Passport and Passport Premier extended engine and accessory protection plans for recreational power boats to Canadian channel partners.  The service contract program is already the preferred choice of top dealers across the United States and offers industry-leading coverage that drives dealer profitability and enhances the consumer ownership experience.

“Our customers value the peace of mind that advanced product protection can bring,” said Bijoy Jha, Brunswick Chief Financial Officer, Business Acceleration and Vice President, New Business Ventures and Financial Services. “We believe we offer extensive, industry-leading coverage and I am excited to expand this program to our Canadian dealer partners to help them to continue to deliver a superior purchase experience.”

Brunswick Passport Premier covers new and pre-owned boats and offers the program’s most comprehensive engine component coverage, including unique, non-defective mechanical breakdown coverage that protects against overheat, pre-ignition, scored cylinders, valve failures and more.  The program currently partners with leading dealer groups, manufacturers, and financial service providers across the U.S.

The accessory plans protect the major components throughout the vessel and are custom-tailored to each customer’s boat type. Coverage applies to all the existing accessory plans, from runabout to cruiser, dayboat, marlin and yacht.

Passport and Passport Premier offer eight years of protection coverage for new boats, and three years for pre-owned boats. The policies are competitively priced and add significant profits to each boat sale. Important downstream service revenues are also realized, as most claims work is returned to the dealership where the customer bought the extended protection.

The Brunswick Passport Premier plan will be released in Canada through Brunswick dealers for application on Brunswick products beginning August 9, 2022. Additionally, in Ontario, the program will be available to all dealers. Dealers interested in offering the program can call Brunswick Product Protection at 800-950-3808.

The association is very well supported and virtually any significant marine electronics company that you could name, was represented there on the Exhibitor list at the Expo as well as all being NMEA members and very supportive of the organization.
