NMMA Canada Secures $100,000 For METS 2022 Export Mission

NMMA Canada METS 2022

Nov 8, 2022

The Marine Equipment Trade Show (METS) is around the corner and NMMA Canada has another sold out Canadian pavilion. With the cancellation of the 2020 show and a restricted 2021 show, everyone is excited to come back together. This year there are 10 Canadian companies attending with a nearly 200 square metre footprint at the show. The show is sold out and promises to deliver a great event for exhibitors.

NMMA Canada President Sara Anghel was pleased to announce that NMMA Canada was again successful in getting a Can Export for Associations grant to support the Canadian manufacturers at METS 2022. Global Affairs Canada has awarded NMMA Canada $100,000 to support the Canadian pavilion and our Canadian exhibitors travel costs. This is now the seventh time our pavilion has been supported with government funding. We expect to have a visit from the Canadian Embassy in the Netherlands who have been very supportive of the Canadian companies. If you are a Canadian manufacturer interested in exporting abroad do not hesitate to contact me or Jim Wielgosz to learn more about our export program.

The association is very well supported and virtually any significant marine electronics company that you could name, was represented there on the Exhibitor list at the Expo as well as all being NMEA members and very supportive of the organization.
