Thousands attend BC Sportsmen’s Show 30th Anniversary Edition

Mar 14, 2023

TRADEX gathered outdoor enthusiasts by the thousands at the 30th annual BC Sportsmen’s Show. From March 3rd to 5th, hunters, fishers, boaters and outdoorsmen alike got a taste of the 2023 season. Over 25,000 visitors walked the show floor over the 3-day event.

“The turnout at this event surpassed all expectations,” said Les Trendall, Show Manager. “There were line ups out the door all three days with overwhelming positivity from everyone in attendance. It was a hugely successful weekend that we couldn’t have pulled off without our sponsors, dealers, and amazing exhibitors.”
The BC Sportsmen’s Show turns TRADEX into a massive one-stop marketplace for fishing, hunting and boating, with retailers and manufacturers, boats of all sizes, camping gear, ATVs and accessories, hunting gear, camo clothing, retailers, outfitters and more.

With many features across the show floor, there was something for everyone to enjoy including the fan-favorite seminar stage, casting pond, gold panning and much more. Lucky visitors also took home some amazing prizes including:

  • Bruce Sladecek – guided fishing trip for two from Titan Pro Anglers
  • Trevor Walters – 2-3 person sleeping package from Dog House Tents
  • Steve Bonnet – fishing tour for four provided by Pemberton Fish Finder
  • Tyson Yau – Rod,  Reel & fishing gear package from Rivermen Products
  • Reba Rower –  ‘His and Hers’ Stand Up Paddleboards from Seamax Marine & Outdoors
  • Chad Hendrikson – a Gold Pan Experience for 4 on the Fraser River from Yukon Dan
  • Dennis Olsen – an apparel prize package from High Caliber Adventures

Exhibitors were also quick to express their excitement about the return of the show:

“Great to have the show back for 2023. We saw qualified customers eager to get on the water, also strong attendance brought some great retail action on the first day that carried on till Sunday. Show sure gave us a very positive outlook for the 2023 season.” – Brendan Keys of GA Checkpoint Yamaha

“This is the 1st time attending as a vendor and by all metrics had a great result. The attendance was greater than expected and the attendee’s energy was even more positive.” – Kevin Chow of Mountainview Motorsports

“The show was well attended, and we greatly appreciated the opportunity to work with you to bring back this historic event. Fred’s Custom tackle is dedicated to showcasing fishing opportunities and bringing the best tackle products, reps and companies to a venue that supports us, our conservation efforts, and healthy fisheries for the future.” – Fred Helmer of Fred’s Custom Tackle / Titan Pro Anglers

“Thanks for an amazing show again, this was the best one we have attended in years and WILL be back next year” – Andrew Thalen from Jaw Portable Buildings
