Grady-White launches their new Canyon 386 at Fort Lauderdale

Eagerly anticipated, the NEW Canyon 386 is Grady-White’s latest design triumph, exceeding all expectations. With a captivating deck and cockpit layout, full maneuverability from Yamaha, and a true weekend cabin with separate head, this boat feels more like a large sportfisher chock full of every amenity you could wish for. Mirroring our flagship, the Canyon 456, Grady-White’s design team has hit a grand slam with this impressive new design. Whether your priority is hard core fishing or making memories on the water with family and friends, this luxurious battlewagon easily accomplishes both.

“The new Canyon 386 builds upon the historic success of the Canyon 376 while drawing the very best design elements from our flagship 456 to deliver even more boating satisfaction in this category,” says Grady-White Product Designer, Christian Carraway. “You’ll find no other boat of its class with the magnitude of square footage that we’ve be able to create in our design process. With an eye toward fishability and luxury, we’ve crafted a boat that’s both rugged and refined.”

Grady-White is continually raising the bar for boats in the fiberglass outboard segment of the market, and this new design personifies that with its extra wide beam, making it the largest of any center console boat of its size. That added square footage equates to a roomier cockpit and console interior, as well as an expansive helm and a lean bar full of conveniences. This additional space is immediately evident at the helm where four luxurious adjustable deluxe contoured helm chairs with flip-up bolsters and fold-down arm and footrests are strategically positioned behind the wraparound windshield, providing all day comfort and protection from the elements. The captain sits centered on the sleek black helm with a full view of the large flush mount electronics area and easy access to push button controls. An integrated AV2® T-top encompasses the immense helm area and all four seats and comes complete with standard SureShade®, see-through hatch, storage net, radio box, six rod holders, and LED spreader and recessed lights.

There’s more in the cabin too! Enter through the aft facing sliding door at the port helm, descend the curved stairs, note the ample head room, and step into a spacious console abundant with features that deliver maximum comfort. A large, enclosed head area with sink, china head, and stand-up shower provides privacy for weekend getaways. The galley is well-appointed with a stainless-steel sink, a microwave, a large refrigerator drawer, and a rich cherry dinette table, which converts into a spacious double berth. Other remarkable features of the console include air conditioning, natural lighting, lots of storage, including space for eight rods, and a standard 24” TV – all making it equally enjoyable for overnight fishing trips to the canyons and for romantic weekends to a favorite cove, island, or seaside town.

Access into the expansive cockpit is easy from the dock or the water through port and starboard side doors, complete with boarding ladder. Perfectly designed for fishing or entertaining, the multitude of built-in standard features make enjoying both activities easy for the lucky owner of this boat. Angler’s anxious to hit the fishing grounds will appreciate the dual 35-gal. livewells that flank a 291-qt. insulated refrigerator/freezer fish box with digitally controlled thermostat on the transom. The massive lean bar with six rod holders, knife and plier holders, and Corian® countertop, doubles as a well-equipped bait station or as an entertainment area complete with sink, storage with drain or optional grill, and dedicated trash bin. Storage drawers below and to port provide space for rigging equipment or cooking utensils. For anglers headed to the fishing grounds, the lean bar’s starboard side has a large knife, plier, and lure holder, and there are two storage units on the transom wall providing four tackle trays. There’s also a comfortable place to ride or relax on Grady-White’s patented foldaway aft bench seat.

The bow is designed with comfort and fishing in mind, too. A focal point is the perfectly contoured, diamond stitched 48′′ deep luxury lounger with three pull down armrests for maximum relaxation and two spacious storage drawers below. It’s the best seat in the house! Additional seating at the bow includes port and starboard lounge seats with electrically adjustable backrests. If fishing is your primary objective, the port and starboard 149-qt. insulated fish boxes and casting platform come in handy. Insert the cushion for another luxurious lounge, perfect for cruising days. If cocktails at sunset are the activity of choice, there’s an optional electrically adjustable fiberglass bow table.

For those ready to get where they’re going fast, an updated engine area eliminates the traditional motor well and supports triple Yamaha XTO Offshore® 450 classic white engines. Don’t stay at the dock on rough days! Power up the standard Seakeeper® 5 and head offshore.
