Edward Charles (Ted) Quinn passed away peacefully at Uxbridge Hospital with his family at his side, on Monday, December 18, 2023 at the age of 89 years. Ted Quinn of Pefferlaw, beloved husband of 65 years to Suzanne (nee McKelvey). Dear father of Terry, Tim and his wife Lynda, Diana Fairty and her husband Cam, Susan Beloff and her husband Bill, and Ted and his wife Therese. Loving papa of Ryan (Tanya), Rhea (Dave), Callum (Jessie), Keegan (Juie-Anne), Tyler (Robyn), Michael (Samantha), Christina (Charlie), Whitney (Matthew), Lindsay (Scott), Jack, Carlie (Colin), Scott (Brittany), Kaitlyn (Michael), David (Brianna), Trent, Abigaile, and Caileigh. Great Papa of June, Eddie, Katie, Jamie, Colton, Alisa, Cameron, Lyla, Charles, Thomas, Travis, Isabella, Charlie, Hailey, Cayden, Colten, Alice, Mitchell, and Spencer. Dear brother of Mary Banks and brother-in-law of Margaret Quinn.  Predeceased by his siblings Tom Quinn and Patricia Oldaker. Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews, and many friends including Leo and Mary Landry. Ted was the founder of Quinns Marina, Pefferlaw, the Prop Shop and Panther Boats where he worked alongside his brother Tom. He was inducted into the Canadian Boating Hall of Fame. He set two world speed records with his boat “Black Magic”. He enjoyed many years following the Pickering Panthers, Junior B Hockey team as an owner with his friend Leo. Funeral Mass was planned to be celebrated in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Friday, December 22, 2023. Memorial donations to the Georgina Food Pantry or the Georgina Cares Fund would be appreciated by the family.
