I’m excited to be elected to the NMEA Board of Directors. I am looking forward to working with board members and the management team in an effort to make the NMEA organization one to be proud of. It is an exciting time in the industry and I am truly committed to representing each and every dealer member in the most professional manner possible.

This year marks 50 years in the Marine Electronics Industry for me.  I have wanted to get more involved with the NMEA for many years but never had the opportunity before.  This year the stars all lined up and I was encouraged to run for a board of directors’ position.  I am very happy to have been elected as a Manufacturer Member of the Board of Directors and look forward to working to better the industry for the future.

Tom Milanette- FLIR – Hudson, NH

Freddie Fowler- Manatee Technical College – Bradenton, FL
Thank you to the NMEA Board of Directors and their confidence in me to join the honorable role of Board of Director.   I am truly humbled.   This is a “Big Deal” to me, and I’m excited about joining this professional board of experts.   I look forward to serving NMEA and our awesome NMEA members.

Tim Banaszak- Southeast Navigators – Juneau, AK
“Thank you for the opportunity to serve on the NMEA board. I look forward to advocating for our membership, promoting NMEA, and developing the next generation of maritime expertise. I appreciate meeting and speaking with many members gaining insight and perspective to promote marine safety through standards, education, and awareness.”

NMEA President & Executive Director Mark Reedenauer said, “I want to congratulate all newly and re-elected board members as we start 2024. This great Board and staff will continue build off the framework that past board members over the past 10 years have set to ensure that NMEA fulfills its mission to the industry and to the boating public.”

The association is very well supported and virtually any significant marine electronics company that you could name, was represented there on the Exhibitor list at the Expo as well as all being NMEA members and very supportive of the organization.
