Stereo Receiver

Sept 3, 2024

With marine stereos, flexibility, sound quality and durability are key attributes. The award-winning JBL JAM5000N source unit from RiverPark Marine checks a long list of must-have boxes and fills in many more — at a price point that’s hard to beat.

The all-weather JBL JAM5000N features a 2.8″ full-color TFT display with MFi (Made for iPhone) album artwork. Six soft-touch buttons and a low-profile rotary volume knob are intuitively designed.

Broad flexibility in listening preferences is paramount with the JBL JAM5000N. With super-fast Bluetooth® 5.0 connectivity, USB input with charging, and AM/FM/weather band reception, audio options are plentiful. Plus, with integrated NMEA 2000, the head unit is instantly recognized by the protocol for full control via a networked multifunction display.

JBL is renowned for its premium sound quality, and the JBL JAM5000N is no exception. The receiver delivers 4×55 watts peak @ 4 ohms for the volume needed when engines are roaring and refined accuracy when anchored or moored. Two-ohm stable, the device has three sets of preamp outputs, left, right and sub, and three zones, to turn the boat into a floating audiophile soundstage.

The wired remote ready JBL JAM5000N has a modern, thin square front panel that can be surface mounted or installed flush and easily installs with a circular cutout. Available from RiverPark Marine, the JBL JAM5000N head unit costs $449.95 USD.
