NMEA names 2024 Award Winners at Annual Conference & Expo

The industry’s top products were recognized at the 2024 NMEA Marine Electronics Conference & Expo, which took place at the Omni Hotel in Providence, RI. Members of the National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA) voted online in various categories for the prestigious Product of Excellence Awards. In addition, a panel of judges selected winners for the NMEA Technology and the Best New Product Awards.

Distributor of the Year Award (New)

For the first time, NMEA introduced the Distributor of the Year Award. This award highlights the significant role that distributors play in the marine electronics industry, ensuring that products reach a global audience and providing valuable support to the entire supply chain. “The NMEA Board is proud to introduce this award, recognizing and honoring the invaluable contributions distributors make to our industry,” said Reedenauer.

2024 Manufacturer of the Year Awards

            • Si-Tex – Level 1 (up to 10 employees)

            • Actisense – Level 2 (11-49 employees)

            • Garmin – Level 3 (more than 50 employees)

These manufacturers demonstrated superior support of their products in the field as voted on by NMEA Dealer and Trade members.

Best New Product Award

• BRNKL Blue – Fish On! Edition

NMEA’s Best New Product Award celebrates one product that was introduced to the market at the NMEA Conference & Expo, which a panel of judges deemed best in the areas of innovation, benefit to boaters, practicality, and value.

The winner of the Best New Product Award was BRNKL Blue – Fish On! Edition. “This product impressed the judges with its practicality and innovative design, delivering great value for boaters.”

Technology Award

• Maretron Mconnect WSV100 Web Server

The NMEA Technology Award recognizes a single marine electronics product that excels in innovation, value, and practicality. This year’s award went to Maretron Mconnect WSV100 Web Server, praised for its advanced yet intuitive solution for onboard monitoring.

Judges for the 2024 Technology and New Product Awards were Richard Baker — NMEA Board Vice- Chairman, Nick Cambron — Sick Speed Marine Electronics, Reagan Haynes — Haynes Communications, and Jim Fullilove — Marine Electronics Journal.
