Lifting eye folds flat for a clean deck

Folding Lift Eye

Dec 17, 2024

For the safe lifting of a boat, strong and reliable hardware is needed. The Accon Marine Oval Lifting Eye not only supports up to 4,000 lbs., but folds flat out of the way to maintain a clean, obstruction-free deck.

The Oval Lifting Eye needs less clearance under the deck than conventional lifting cleats. Its below-decks hub pivots in two directions to overcome slight misalignments at installation. This connects to the cast stainless steel sling with a threaded rod to accommodate differing hull dimensions and angles.

To add strength and functionality, the Oval Lifting Eye sling includes an integrated bow eye that’s ideal for trailering, mooring and towing. The lifting hardware can also be installed connecting the sling to a structural element within the hull.

Built from polished 316 stainless steel, the base of the hardware is 4.25″ x 2.6″ and mounts to the deck with four #10 screws. The eye is a full 1.9″ high to make threading a line easy. The Oval Lifting Eye has an integrated drain that can be sealed or routed to the bilge via a small hose.
