Water and electricity don’t mix, so there’s Hubbell

Hubbell Marine

For long-lasting durability in harsh marine environments, stainless steel is the material of choice. That’s why Hubbell Marine uses it in its premium Stainless Steel Flip Covers to protect electrical terminals from impacts and extreme weather conditions.

UL and cUL listed Hubbell Stainless Steel Flip Covers are manufactured from heavy-duty marine-grade 316 stainless steel for use where corrosion and sanitation are vital concerns. Polished to a high shine, the covers complement any boat, from a superyacht to a seine trawler. An elastomer base gasket and EVA back gasket provide reliable protection. They can be mounted horizontally or vertically.

Hubbell Marine offers two models, each in Duplex (HBLSS83R and HBLSS84X) or GFCI variants (HBLSS263R and HBLSS264X). Self-closing UL Type 3R covers, fully certified rain-tight and ice-resistant, are ideal for exposed spaces such as decks and cockpits, flybridges and pilothouse exteriors. When conditions demand even greater protection, on commercial vessels and in boatyards, for example, UL Type 4X models feature a positive-latching cover. Measuring just 4.85″ x 3.04″, Hubbell Marine Stainless Steel Flip Covers start at $280. USD.
