Volunteer For Boat For Hope – June 14, 2025

Volunteer Boat for Hope

June 10, 2025

There are two great ways to support 2025 Boat for Hope —by volunteering at Treasure Island or purchasing a Boat Raffle Ticket with incredible odds of winning.

After the on-water treasure hunt, our little buccaneers come ashore at Hastings Mill Park (Point Grey Rd.) for an afternoon of carnival-style games, live entertainment, and a BBQ lunch. We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help bring the fun to life. Volunteers are needed to set up the carnival area, assist at game stations, and help pack down booths and décor after the event.

Shift times are as follows:
DATE: June 14, 2025
• Set-up: 8:00 a.m. arrival
• Showtime: 11:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
• Strike: 3:30 – 4:30 p.m.

No experience is necessary—just a big smile and a willingness to help! To join the crew, contact Kelly Stuart at kstu@telus.net or Jennifer Kastelein at jenkast@telus.net.

You can also support the cause by entering our Boat Raffle. Only 2,000 tickets are available—and over 1,100 have already been sold, so your chances of winning are excellent. The prize package is valued at over $9,600, generously donated by GA Checkpoint, Yamaha Canada, and Ultradeck. It includes:

            • A 2025 Highfield RU320 Air inflatable

            • A 2025 Yamaha F9.9 SMHB outboard

            • A 2025 Marlon trailer

            • A custom Boat for Hope UltraDeck “Kailani 20” cooler

            • Two Mustang MIT 100 inflatable PFDs

            • A small-vessel safety kit and mooring lines

Tickets are $20 each, open to BC residents aged 19+. Sales close at 11:59 p.m. PT on June 16, 2025, with the draw taking place at 12:00 p.m. PT on June 17.
