The Next Generation of Inflatables is Complete with The Launch of Elite

Mustang Survival Elite Inflatables

July 15, 2025

Three inflatables. One innovative bladder platform. A new era of comfort, safety, and performance on the water.

Mustang Survival rounds out their inflatables collection with the launch of two highly anticipated additions: the Elite 120 and Elite 190. These inflatable PFDs build on the revolutionary design of the award-winning Atlas 190 DLX Life Jacket and introduce the same cutting-edge ADAPT bladder technology in lighter, versatile profiles. Designed for all-day wear, the ergonomic chassis of the Elite series sits off the neck—ideal for anglers, high-speed boaters and serious coastal sailors.

Better. Best. ELITE.

“In the bass fishing community, people refer to ‘my Elite’ when they mean their PFD—like the GORE-TEX of inflatables. That level of trust and recognition doesn’t come easy, and it’s our responsibility to keep delivering and exceed our own standard,” says Jonathan Liu, Senior Product Manager, Flotation. “This is the kind of PFD people want to wear. Every single tester came back with the same comment: ‘I forgot I was even wearing it.”

Elite 120 Inflatable PFD

The Elite 120, a re-engineered version of the fan-favourite Elite 28, maintains the same 28 lbs (120N) buoyancy and is built for anglers, fast boaters and coastal cruisers. A breathable mesh back and a shorter chassis prevent ride-up on all body types, even at high speeds.

“Boating safety is my passion—and this life jacket will no doubt keep everyone safe on the water,” says professional bass angler and Mustang Survival ambassador Hunter Bland. “This is the most comfortable life jacket I’ve ever worn. There’s really no reason to take it off.”

Elite 190 Inflatable PFD

Designed for everyone from coastal sailors and cruisers to offshore boaters and anglers, the Elite 190 offers 42 lbs of buoyancy, matching the Atlas 190, in a slightly pared-back, lighter profile. It includes optional accessory compatibility for leg straps, spray hood, and emergency light, and supports both AIS and PLB devices for added safety on longer expeditions.

Certification & HIT Inflation System

The Elite 120 and Elite 190 are certified to the Harmonized Level 70 standard, recognized by both the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) and Transport Canada (TC). This dual approval helps boaters select a PFD best suited for their particular activity and environment and allows easier travel between the US and Canada. Both Elites far exceed the in-water performance requirements for a Level 70 device, offering higher buoyancy and more advanced functionality. Mustang Survival was among the first to offer Harmonized Level 70 certified inflatables in North America and continues to lead in safety innovation and consumer education.

Both models use the Hammar MA1 inflator featuring Hydrostatic Inflator Technology (HIT), exclusive to Mustang Survival’s North American-approved products. Designed to activate only when submerged below 4” of water, HIT ensures that humidity, rain, or spray won’t cause accidental inflation and remains maintenance-free for up to 5 years.

Better. Best. Elite.
