Follow Quadrant Marine Institute and their Fall / Winter 2025 Activities

September 23, 2025

After two very successful (and very busy…) Pre-Employment Programs in Sidney & Vancouver, we’re back to business with the MST apprenticeship! With waitlists for all locations, as well as our waitlisted Marine Service Manager’s course this November – it’s been a jam-packed start for our team.

In addition to our ongoing work to enrich the Marine Service sector, running a journey-person program is a lot of work! So, we thought it would be best to share a calendar of events for those of you looking to connect with our team.

September 30th is the final deadline for BCYBA Bursary applications. You can find the application form on the Financial Aid page of our site.

On October 17th / 18th you can find us at the Western/Transat Marine Trade Show in Richmond. Login to your account for ticket information. Additionally, once you’re done connecting directly with suppliers, you can stop by our booth and we’ll tell you all about the work we’ve been doing in our community.

Then our team will be joining the annual Boating BC Conference at the River Rock Casino Resort. This year’s conference “Rocking the Industry – Navigating Disruptive Times” will be on November 18th / 19th – but early bird pricing ends soon! As an event for industry leaders to gather and strategize towards our collective success, the QMI team is eager to listen and learn from speakers and attendees alike.

For our current MST’s, before we close for the Winter Holidays, December will be our Vancouver program workshops. Any Sidney MST student who misses a workshop prior to this will need to plan to attend! Please speak with your program administrator regarding workshop dates.

Shortly after the winter break our team will be proud to wave the Quadrant flag at the Vancouver International Boat Show on January 14th – 18th. Due to the upcoming World Cup, this year’s indoor event will be at the Vancouver Convention Centre.

We’ll share more about the New Year another time, until then – See you soon!
