Charlie Bulmer July 13, 1932-October 22, 2025

October 28, 2025

On October 22, 2025, Charlie Bulmer passed away at South Lake Hospital, in Newmarket, Ontario. He is fondly remembered by his wife and best friend of 41 years, Christine and daughters Kelly, Kathy and Jenny as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Charlie was born in Toronto on July 13, 1932. He is predeceased by his parents, Currey and Florence Bulmer and sister Dorothy Watts.

He joined his dad’s business, Currey Bulmer Marine in 1950 and gained much of his marine knowledge from his dad. In 1959, they set a record by selling over 900 outboard motors and about 500 boats.

After operating under the name C.C. Outboard Parts since 1962 as an OMC parts distributor, OMC discontinued C.C. Outboards in1982.

About three months before the OMC deal ended, Russ Woodard came in to speak to Charlie with a suggestion.

He said to Charlie, “I have just what you need, a Sierra Parts Book.” – It was the beginning of a new chapter.

Charlie had a great love for the marine industry and all the people who are a part of it.

C.C. Marine will continue with his wife Christine and daughter Kelly at the helm. C.C. Marine & Staff are committed to continuing in supporting our dealers the way Charlie always did.

There will be a private funeral of close family and friends in November, with a larger celebration of life to be planned for the new year. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada or a charity of your choice.
