Smartgyro Stabilization Integration Now Available with Raymarine

February 3, 2026

Smartgyro are delighted to announce that customers can now enjoy the benefit of enhanced system display control and monitoring of their Smartgyro units on compatible Raymarine Axiom chartplotter displays.

This new integration enables boat owners using Smartgyro gyroscopic stabilization to experience the latest interactive capabilities at the helm via Raymarine Axiom chartplotters. With native support for web‑based apps, Axiom’s LightHouse operating system makes integration with Smartgyro straightforward.

The integration between the Smartgyro app and Raymarine’s Axiom line of chartplotters is based on a lightweight, standards-compliant HTML5 web application. The R&D team at Smartgyro optimized the interface for the chartplotters embedded browser, while communication with the gyro system continues to rely on the same proprietary protocols already in place. No custom drivers or deep OS level modifications were required, the chartplotter simply loads the Smartgyro UI as a web application.

Raymarine’s developer resources and documentation ensured the process was smooth, simple to integrate and test, as well as being hassle-free when validating the Smartgyro interface on their devices.  The team made a number of UI adjustments resulting in a seamless user experience on the touchscreen format. Because the app is HTML5 based, it’s also lightweight, fast, and easy to evolve with future feature updates.

From the user’s perspective, the integration provides:

              • Realtime stabilizer monitoring directly on the MFD.

              • Intuitive visual status indicators for system health, activity, and performance.

              • Easy access to service information, warnings, and diagnostics without needing a separate device.

              • A unified helm experience, keeping all essential systems visible from one screen.

Riccardo Bortolato, R&D Engineer at Smartgyro said: “Integrating Smartgyro with Raymarine’s Axiom displays reflects our commitment to making our systems effortless to use across the entire onboard ecosystem. Raymarine’s support for modern HTML5 applications allowed us to bring the full Smartgyro experience directly to the helm with minimal complexity. The result is a clean, responsive interface that gives real time insight into stabilizer performance.”

Michelle Hildyard, VP of operations at Raymarine said: “We’re delighted to collaborate with Smartgyro and deliver this powerful integration for our Axiom chartplotter users. This collaboration aligns perfectly with our mission to deliver a simplified user interface and open integration with the best marine technologies. With Smartgyro controls integrated into Axiom’s LightHouse OS, our Axiom customers can enjoy a smarter and more comfortable boating experience.”
