The Quadrant Marine Institute Pre-Employment Program is Back, Across BC!

March 10, 2026

Building on the continued success of the last few years, the “We Float Boats” Marine Service Pre-Employment is back and bigger than ever. This year, in addition to programs at our main training locations of Sidney & Vancouver, we’ll be running a third cohort in Campbell River!

Applications for all three programs are now open!

In Campbell River, our course will run from April 30 – July 10th. To make this course accessible to students entering the workforce, the course has been extended to run from Thursdays – Saturdays until June 26th, at which point it transitions to a Monday – Friday program for work experience. This new location will feature all the same content, certifications, and industry exposure as our current programming!

In Sidney, PEP will be operating out of our main office & workshop in Canoe Cove Marina from May 19th – June 26th. Working with the Sidney, Saanich, and Victoria area companies, we’re excited to bring the PEP program back to the heart of Marine Service in our Province.

And finally, Vancouver’s course will run from July 6th – August 14th at our Shelter Island Marina Facility. Our training partners there can be found all across Metro-Vancouver!

Space is limited for all locations, but the skills training, employment readiness, and work placements are proven stepping stones to Marine Service excellence!
