Are You Ready for Safe Boating Awareness Week?

May 5, 2026

Starting today and throughout the week of May 16-22, 2026, there is a very good opportunity for companies in the marine industry to gain public awareness and positive momentum as we head into the start of the boating season and it’s one that you can take advantage of with little or no cost. The Canadian Safe Boating Council provides a whole range of information and materials about boating and boating safety that are FREE for your business to download and use.

The purpose is to raise awareness of boating safety, especially now at the start of the season, and to make this easy for you to use in your marketing and public relations in print, online and directly with your customers, you can download ready-to-use information and materials directly from the Canadian Safe Boating Council website, www.csbc.ca

Local media outlets in your area for TV, radio, newspaper and all sorts of digital media will be looking for seasonally appropriate content. Make their lives easy by contacting them and offering to give an interview about boating and boating safety in your area.

It’s easy to gather professionally produced, accurate and timely information and statistics from the Canadian Safe Boating Council to use when you talk to your local media. Invite them to meet you by the water, or better yet, at your business and use the Canadian Safe Boating Council materials in any interviews you get.

Be an important part of your community. It takes very little effort and almost no cost to gain media coverage. We really encourage you to check out what’s available at www.csbc.ca
