International boat shows remain an irreplaceable cornerstone of the yachting sector, delivering long-term value and serving as definitive platforms for growth that supports the industry’s long- term health, sustainability and success. With the United States representing the world’s largest market for yachting and luxury, this appointment highlights Informa Markets’ dedication to providing localized, high-touch support to Italian shipyards, manufacturers, suppliers, designers, architects, brokers, associations, media, and luxury brands aiming to consolidate or expand their presence overseas.

Cristina Fonzar, an Italian veteran of the yachting industry, brings extensive experience primarily within the superyacht domain. Her background includes senior roles in marketing and communications at leading yacht builders and luxury goods companies operating globally, and she is a trusted advisor and marketing & PR specialist to various organizations across the superyachting ecosystem.

Recognizing the pivotal importance of the American market for European yachting players, US Informa has selected Fonzar to serve as its point of contact in Italy. In this role, besides offering tailored support to current clients, she will also identify, recruit and guide new exhibitors and companies seeking to enter the highly rewarding US market with the right approach and strategic insight.

“Italy represents the world leading hub for yacht construction and maritime innovation, and our goal is to ensure Italian companies have the most effective gateway to the high-value US market,” stated Andrew Doole, President of US Boat Shows for Informa Markets. “Cristina’s long-standing expertise, extensive network and strategic vision will be key to strengthening client relationships and fostering high-value, win-win business opportunities across our international platforms.”
