Freedom Boat Club Expands in Spain with New Locations in Cádiz and Mazarrón
August 4, 2026
Freedom Boat Club, the world’s largest boat club and a business of Brunswick Corporation, has announced the opening of two new locations in Spain: Puerto Sherry (Cádiz) and Mazarrón (Murcia). These additions strengthen Freedom Boat Club’s presence in key boating destinations across southern Spain and reinforce its commitment to making boating more accessible through a flexible, premium membership model.
The new locations form part of Freedom Boat Club’s ongoing expansion strategy in Europe, building a growing network that gives members access to some of the most attractive cruising grounds in the Mediterranean and Atlantic regions.
“Spain remains one of our most important growth markets in Europe, and these openings demonstrate our commitment to expanding our network in destinations that offer exceptional boating experiences,” said Arturo Gutiérrez, General Manager of Freedom Boat Club in EMEA.
Gateway to the Atlantic: Puerto Sherry, Cádiz
Located in Puerto Sherry, in the historic coastal town of El Puerto de Santa María, the new Cádiz location further expands Freedom Boat Club’s presence along Spain’s Atlantic coastline. The marina is widely recognized as one of Spain’s premier boating destinations, known for its nautical heritage, excellent facilities, and privileged location overlooking the Bay of Cádiz.
The opening builds on the success Freedom Boat Club has achieved along the Costa del Sol, where its locations in Málaga, Marbella, Benalmádena and Fuengirola have become reference points for boaters seeking a hassle-free way to enjoy life on the water. The addition of Cádiz responds to growing demand for boating experiences in the region while providing members with access to a unique Atlantic cruising environment.
The Cádiz location launches with a fleet composed of a Quicksilver 605 Open and a Quicksilver 705 Open, offering members a versatile and enjoyable boating experience suitable for a wide range of activities and skill levels.
Strengthening the Costa Cálida Network: Mazarrón
The opening of the Mazarrón location represents another important milestone in Freedom Boat Club’s expansion across the Region of Murcia. Mazarrón offers more than 35 kilometers of coastline, numerous secluded coves, outstanding marine biodiversity, and favorable weather conditions throughout much of the year.
The new base plays a strategic role within Freedom Boat Club’s growing Costa Cálida network. The company has developed its regional footprint around two navigation hubs, covering the eastern and western sections of the coastline, with Cartagena serving as the central connection point between both areas.
Mazarrón members will have the flexibility to boat from any of Freedom Boat Club Murcia’s four locations in southeastern Spain: Mar Menor, Cartagena, Mazarrón, and Águilas. These offer access to some of the Mediterranean’s most desirable boating areas, complemented by the benefits of Freedom Boat Club’s global network of more than 450 locations worldwide.
Mazarrón opens with a Quicksilver 605 Open, equipped with a 150HP outboard engine. By the end of 2026, Freedom Boat Club plans to expand the fleet with other boats from the Brunswick family of brands, all powered with Mercury engines.
