Blackstone Infrastructure Acquires MarineMax

It was announced on August 10th that Safe Harbor Marinas, a portfolio company of Blackstone Infrastructure, has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire MarineMax in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $1.5 billion. Under the agreement, MarineMax shareholders will receive $53.00 per share in cash.

Key Transaction Details

              • Purchase Price: $53.00 per share in cash.

              • Total Deal Value: Approximately $1.5 billion.

              • Expected Closure: By the end of calendar year 2026, pending shareholder and regulatory approvals.

              • Private Status: Upon completion, MarineMax will become a privately held company and delist from the New York Stock Exchange.

Strategic Impact

              • Operations: Safe Harbor will own and operate all of MarineMax’s segments, integrating its global network of over 120 locations—including more than 70 dealerships, 65 marina/storage facilities, and luxury brands like IGY Marinas, Fraser Yachts, and Northrop & Johnson.

              • Leadership Statements: Executives from both companies highlighted that the merger creates an expanded, resilient platform to enhance customer service, support industry growth, and deliver immediate value to shareholders.
