MARLOW MAINSHIP HOLDS PRODUCT DEMONSTRATION

Miami

Marlow-Hunter, LLC, the manufacturing arm for Hunter sailboats and Mainship trawlers, now known as Marlow-Hunter (MH) and Marlow-Mainship (MM), brought together dealers and prospective dealers for the formal unveiling of the revamped introduction of the MM32 and MM37 at Marlow Yachts Sales facility in Palmetto, FL.  One portion of the day consisted of open water demos on both models from MM engineering and sales staff to Mr. David E. Marlow, owner and Chairman, taking the wheel of the new two head, two stateroom MM37.  Built on a 40 chinned hull the MM37 has all the amenities one would expect from a Marlow product powered by twin 260hp Yanmar engines.

Mr. Marlow went on to explain, “When I bought the assets of Mainship Corporation and moved it to the Hunter facility in Florida, where sailboats have been built for over 40 years, I had a vision and set my marching orders in place to build each one better than the one before.  I believe I do build world class power yachts under the Marlow brand which are unprecedented in quality and appeal.  That same quality I want portrayed in the Marlow-Mainship line.”   Marlow Yachts earned “boat of the year in the large boat category” for 2013 from PassageMaker magazine for its’ 104’ mega-yacht.

The detail changes in the building processes on the MM were also presented to this dealer group along with the new marketing campaign for the company, “Feel the Quality…Experience the Value.”   “We are now utilizing the highest quality gel-coats and resins in the marine industry; utilizing materials such as Kevlar ® and Nida-Core ®, one of the strongest support materials designed for the space shuttle in our hulls and decks.  On the interior we are using real woods with real names; anti-bacteria gel-coat in the heads and galley; ball-bearing slides on all of our drawers; and Corian ® counter tops to name a few.   Yes it costs more; however, the value is there. I will not settle for less,” David went on to explain.

Marlow-Hunter, LLC manufactures Marlow-Hunter sailboats and Marlow-Mainship trawlers at its facility in Alachua, FL, exceeding NMMA and ABYC standards, and meeting CE certification. Products are marketed world-wide to 26 countries through 96 dealers and distributors.

The association is very well supported and virtually any significant marine electronics company that you could name, was represented there on the Exhibitor list at the Expo as well as all being NMEA members and very supportive of the organization.
